Ekopark Złotowska
Ekopark Złotowska is one of Szczecin’s newest and most eco-friendly recreation spots. Located in the northwestern part of the city, on the edge of the Warszewo district, the park impresses with thoughtful landscape design, rich biodiversity, and a peaceful atmosphere rarely found closer to the city center.
Spanning about 1.5 hectares, the park offers space for both leisurely walks and more active pursuits. Over 200 trees grow here – including lindens, maples, rowans, and fruit trees like apples and pears. The lush greenery is complemented by shrubs, climbers, perennials, and extensive flower and bee meadows. The park is a true biodiversity hotspot – attracting birds, pollinating insects, and even bats, for which special shelters have been installed.
For active visitors, there’s a modern street workout zone. For those seeking relaxation, the park offers scenic terraces, wooden shelters, and comfortable loungers. A notable feature is the rainwater retention system made up of ditches and basins, supporting the ecosystem and showcasing sustainable urban planning. An educational trail with informative signs helps visitors better understand the ecological functions of the park.
Just next to the park, at the intersection of Szczecińska and Poznańska streets, you’ll find a small square with the beloved “Warszewo Elephant” sculpture – a local landmark popular among residents and families.
