Bronze composition

Project and execution – Stanisław Biżek
A sculptural accent with a vertical composition. It presents a small, anonymous human figure, shown in a standing position, with arms outstretched. The figure is placed between two vertical planes (connected in the upper part by a small connector), in accordance with the author's intention, symbolizing a wide open door. The sculpture is set on a plinth, on a square plan.
This sculpture was made in 1982 at the request of the city authorities, as part of a project assuming the placement of twelve sculptures along the then al. Jedności Narodowej (today al. Jana Pawła II) up to and including pl. Lotników, aimed at creating an open city gallery. Two works that were created at that time, by Ryszard Wilk and Czesław Wronka, unfortunately have not survived to this day.
The initiator of the above-mentioned project was the author of this sculpture - Stanisław Biżek.
