Szczecin will celebrate the 13th International Guide’s Day on February 28. This year’s theme is “Notable Personalities of Szczecin.”

Experienced city guides will lead visitors along around 30 different routes through the streets and squares of the city, sharing stories from Szczecin’s past and present.

All tours start at 11:00 AM at Plac Lotników. The event will conclude with an organ concert at St. Jacob’s Cathedral.

For English-speaking guests, a free guided tour titled “Szczecin in English” will be available — a walk around the city center with an English-speaking guide, Piotr Ostrowski.

Evening Projection Mapping to Illuminate Szczecin City Hall

One of the highlights of the celebrations marking the 81st anniversary of Polish Szczecin will be the spectacular projection mapping "Szczecin – At Your Own Pace", displayed on the façade of Szczecin City Hall. The show will take place on Saturday, 5 July, at 10:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. in Armii Krajowej Square.

Szczecin's popular Tourist Tram Line "0" is back for the summer season, offering both visitors and locals the chance to explore the city aboard beautifully preserved historic trams. Szczecin Celebrates Its 81st Birthday with a Weekend Full of History, Music and Family Attractions

Szczecin will celebrate the 81st anniversary of its administration being taken over by the Polish authorities with a packed programme of events from 3–5 July 2026. Under the slogan "Szczecin: At Your Own Pace," residents and visitors can enjoy historical reenactments, concerts, multimedia shows, family activities and cultural events across the city.
