Public transport in Szczecin
The easiest way to get around Szczecin is by tram and bus. The city operates 12 tram lines (plus one seasonal tourist tram line during the summer), over 60 daytime bus routes (including regular and express services), and 16 night bus routes.
Daytime services begin operating shortly after 4:00 a.m. and continue until approximately 11:00 p.m. Timetables are available on the ZDiTM website or via the Jakdojade website and mobile app.
Tickets can be purchased from ticket machines installed on board vehicles or at selected stops. They are also available at ticket offices, selected kiosks, and through mobile apps such as SkyCash, mPay, Mobilet, zBiletem, as well as many banking apps.
Please note: From 1 July 2026, tickets purchased on board must be validated by scanning the QR code located above the vehicle doors.
All tickets allow unlimited transfers within their validity period – in Szczecin, you pay for time, not for the number of journeys. The cheapest ticket, valid for 15 minutes, costs PLN 3. The full fare table is available on the ZDiTM website.
Please note that express bus lines (A, B and C) require a double-fare ticket.
Free public transport is available, among others, for children under the age of 4, as well as for animals and luggage. A full list of concessions is available on the ZDiTM website.
A convenient option for visitors is the Szczecin Tourist Card, available in 24-hour and 72-hour versions. It provides unlimited travel on all public transport lines and offers discounts at museums, cafés, restaurants, pubs, and many other attractions across the city.
Check live departures and vehicle locations
Every tram and bus in Szczecin is equipped with GPS, allowing you to track vehicles in real time and check for delays. If your stop does not have an electronic departure board, you can use the online live vehicle map.
