The Gothic Gallery of the Pomeranian Dukes’ Castle in Szczecin hosts a unique exhibition celebrating the 160th anniversary of painter Eugen Dekkert’s birth. Recognized as the most important landscape artist of Szczecin and Pomerania, Dekkert is featured through more than 70 works—ranging from Scottish views and rural scenes to port landscapes and mountain vistas.

His works offer a visual journey into Szczecin’s past, particularly its historic harbours and riverside life. The exhibition opened on August 21 and will be available until February 22, 2026. Tickets cost 15 PLN (regular) or 9 PLN (reduced) and grant access to all exhibition areas in the castle’s underground galleries—Gothic Gallery, Eastern Gallery, Object Gallery, and the Herbal Cellar.

A must-see for art lovers and anyone curious about the city’s rich maritime heritage.
