Autumn is a wonderful time to discover Szczecin together. Located in northwestern Poland, the city offers an appealing mix of historic landmarks, modern architecture, green spaces and excellent dining experiences. If you're planning a romantic weekend getaway in Poland, Szczecin is a destination worth considering, especially if you enjoy exploring a city at a relaxed pace.

Begin your visit at the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle, the former residence of the Griffin dynasty. Its Renaissance architecture, historic courtyards and viewing terraces make it one of Szczecin's most remarkable attractions. Take some time to explore the exhibitions, discover the history of Pomerania and enjoy beautiful views across the city and the Oder River.

Another highlight is the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic, one of Poland's most distinctive contemporary buildings. Its striking white exterior has become an architectural symbol of Szczecin, while the impressive interiors are equally worth discovering. For a particularly memorable evening, consider attending a concert. The main symphony hall is renowned for its excellent acoustics, creating a wonderful setting for a shared musical experience.

For couples who enjoy nature, Emerald Lake (Jezioro Szmaragdowe) is an excellent choice. Located in the Zdroje district, this picturesque lake was formed in 1925 when a former chalk mine flooded. Its distinctive green water and surrounding woodland create beautiful scenery, especially when the trees display their autumn colours. Alternatively, enjoy a leisurely walk along Szczecin's Oder River boulevards, where you can admire the waterfront and experience the city's maritime atmosphere.

A romantic city break also deserves a special dining experience. Tkacka 7 Restaurant & Bar, featured in the prestigious MICHELIN Guide, is an interesting option for dinner. The restaurant focuses on contemporary cuisine, seasonal ingredients and carefully prepared dishes. Its stylish atmosphere makes it an appealing choice for couples looking to explore Szczecin's culinary scene.

On your second day, visit Willa Lentza (Lentz Villa), one of Szczecin's most impressive historic residences. Built in the late 19th century for wealthy industrialist August Lentz, the restored villa now serves as a cultural institution. Its elegant interiors offer a glimpse into the lives of Szczecin's former upper class. Afterwards, head to Jasne Błonia, a spacious green area famous for its magnificent rows of plane trees. With their golden autumn leaves, these avenues provide a beautiful setting for a peaceful walk together.

A romantic autumn weekend in Szczecin offers the perfect combination of culture, nature and memorable experiences. From historic architecture and live music to scenic walks and intimate dinners, the city has plenty to offer couples looking for a relaxing escape.
