Żagle 2026 on the horizon. The first vessels will arrive on Tuesday

Żagle is getting closer! Freedom is already moored at Nabrzeże Starówka, with more vessels set to arrive in Szczecin over the coming days. Welcoming the sailing ships is one of the most eagerly awaited moments of the event – with each new arrival, Szczecin’s waterfront will take on an increasingly unique maritime atmosphere.
Spotting sails on the horizon and watching vessels make their way into Szczecin are always among the most exciting moments in the run-up to Żagle. This year, Freedom was the first to arrive and is already moored at Nabrzeże Starówka.
From Tuesday onwards, the Oder will become increasingly busy. More sailing ships will begin arriving in the city, and Szczecin’s waterfront will gradually fill with masts, yards and sails. All the announced vessels are expected to be moored by Friday lunchtime.
When will the sailing ships arrive?
According to the current schedule, the vessels are expected to arrive in Szczecin at the following times:
- Baltic Beauty – 11 August, 12:00 – Nabrzeże Pasażerskie
- Stettin – 12 August, 16:00 – Bulwar Chrobrego
- LaMona – 12 August, 18:00 – North East Marina
- Barlovento II – 12 August, evening – Nabrzeże Wieleckie
- Minerva – 12 August – Nabrzeże Pasażerskie
- Generał Zaruski – night of 12–13 August – Nabrzeże Pasażerskie
- Santa Barbara Anna – 13 August, 08:00 – Nabrzeże Pasażerskie
- Albert Johannes – 13 August, 16:00 – Bulwar Chrobrego
- Bonawentura – 13 August, afternoon – Nabrzeże Wieleckie
- Hoffnung – night of 13–14 August – Nabrzeże Wieleckie
- Kattenturm – night of 13–14 August – Nabrzeże Wieleckie
- Planeta – 14 August, between 08:00 and 11:00 – southern section of Nabrzeże Starówka
- Bryza H – 14 August, 18:00 – Nabrzeże Pasażerskie
The arrival times are approximate and may change due to weather conditions, traffic on the waterway and other factors.
So it is well worth heading down to the Oder over the next few days. Watching more sailing ships appear on the river, manoeuvre alongside the quays and take up their berths is the surest sign that Żagle 2026 is almost here.
