One Month to Go Until Żagle 2026 – Szczecin Gets Ready for Its Biggest Maritime Festival
14.07.2026
Only one month remains until one of Szczecin's most anticipated annual events. From 14–16 August 2026, Wały Chrobrego and Łasztownia will once again become the heart of a spectacular maritime celebration filled with tall ships, live entertainment and family attractions.
Tall ships from across Europe are set to arrive in Szczecin, including Minerva, ORP Iskra, Loth Loriën, Albert Johannes, Kapitan Borchardt, Abel Tasman, Santa Barbara Anna, Baltic Beauty, Joanna Saturna and Bonawentura. Visitors will have the opportunity to admire many of the vessels up close and, in many cases, step aboard and meet their crews.
Beyond the ships themselves, Żagle 2026 offers concerts, brass bands, a sea shanty stage, Oder River cruises, the Sail Market, an event run surrounded by historic vessels, amusement attractions and plenty of activities for visitors of all ages.
One of this year's biggest highlights will take place on Friday, 14 August, when 150 drones will light up the night sky above Szczecin. The choreographed drone show will feature animations inspired by the sea, the city's symbols and impressive light displays, creating a truly memorable spectacle.
If you're planning a summer city break in Poland, Żagle 2026 is the perfect opportunity to discover Szczecin's unique maritime atmosphere. More information and the full event programme are available at www.zagleszczecin.eu.
