Szczecin is becoming an increasingly popular destination not only for relaxing city breaks, but also for active weekends full of adrenaline and unique experiences. Surrounded by water, greenery and vast natural areas, the city offers plenty of opportunities for visitors looking for something beyond traditional sightseeing.

One of the city’s most unusual attractions is the Big Tower — the former chimney of the Wiskord factory. Today, it serves as a rope jumping site where visitors can jump from a height of 252 metres. For many travellers, it is one of the most unforgettable experiences in Szczecin.

The city can also be explored from the water. Licence-free motorboats are available for rent on Łasztownia and near North East Marina on Grodzka Island. Within minutes, visitors can reach peaceful areas of the Lower Oder Valley and discover the natural side of the region.

Those who prefer aerial adventures can choose from skydiving, balloon flights or small aircraft tours around the city. From above, Szczecin’s waterways, harbour cranes and Lake Dąbie create a completely different landscape.

Szczecin also offers attractions for motorsport and winter sports fans. The city has two go-kart tracks, while Ski Park Szczecin allows visitors to practice skiing and snowboarding all year round, even during summer.

Water sports enthusiasts head to Wake Park Szczecin at Lake Głębokie. Wakeboarding has become one of the city’s most popular summer activities, combining sport, speed and outdoor relaxation.

Szczecin proves that a weekend on the Oder River can be much more than a standard sightseeing trip. It is a destination for travellers who enjoy discovering cities through experiences, movement and adventure.
