Szczecin

Discover Szczecin – a city where everyone lives to their own rhythm. Here, you can slow down, take a deep breath, and find your own balance. It’s a place where the energy of a metropolis meets the calm of nature. Space, water, and greenery create an atmosphere that simply can’t be replicated. Szczecin doesn’t rush – you decide how to experience it.

A City That Lets You Slow Down
Szczecin stands out among other major cities in Poland. You won’t find the hustle and noise typical of large metropolitan areas here. Instead, you’ll notice green parks, wide streets, open spaces, and a natural harmony that makes life flow at a gentler pace. The capital of the West Pomerania region is a place where everyday life becomes a pleasure, and relaxation requires no planning.

A City Surrounded by Nature
Take a look at Szczecin’s landscape, and you’ll see two defining colors: blue and green. Water makes up as much as a quarter of the city’s area.

The Oder’s branching waterways, Lake Dąbie, and the proximity of the Baltic Sea create a unique landscape that can be explored by kayak, sailboat, or from scenic boulevards.

Here, nature is always within reach, ready to be admired. Parks, forests, and tree-lined avenues blend seamlessly with the urban fabric, creating space for both living and relaxation. Jasne Błonia, the Bukowa Forest, and the Central Cemetery – a remarkable fusion of park and history – show that nature is an integral part of the city.

History That Shapes Identity
In Szczecin, the past meets the present. Traces of many cultural influences – German, Swedish, French, and Russian – shape the city’s distinctive character. Historic architecture and modern spaces, such as Solidarność Square, tell the story of a city that is constantly evolving.

Sustainable Growth and a Conscious Future
Szczecin consistently develops its vision of a modern, livable city. It invests in environmentally friendly transport, expands cycling infrastructure, and protects its natural resources. The “Floating Garden” concept is more than just a slogan – it represents real action aimed at improving the quality of life for current and future generations. The city strives for harmony between urban development and nature, showing that progress can go hand in hand with environmental responsibility.
