Crocus carpets bloom again in Szczecin
24.03.2026
As spring arrives, Szczecin once again becomes one of Poland’s most picturesque destinations. The famous Jasne Błonia lawns are covered with vibrant purple crocus carpets, attracting both locals and visitors eager to experience the first signs of the new season. This short-lived yet stunning natural display has become a true symbol of spring in the city.
The most impressive views can be found at Jasne Błonia and in the nearby Kasprowicz Park. However, crocuses also bloom in other parts of Szczecin, including Żeromski Park and near the iconic Wały Chrobrego. Each location offers unique scenery, perfect for a relaxing walk or memorable photos.
It’s important to remember that crocuses are delicate plants. Walking on the lawns is prohibited, as it can damage flowers that have not yet bloomed. Fortunately, the layout of the parks allows visitors to take beautiful photos from designated paths and viewpoints.
If you're considering a spring city break in Poland, Szczecin is an excellent choice right now. The crocus bloom is not only a treat for photographers but also a perfect opportunity to discover the city at its most charming.
