Szczecin

A recent survey among users of the Szczecin Tourist Card reveals that a majority of visitors truly value their stay in the city. As many as 80% of respondents rated highly the city’s sustainability — especially noting its extensive green areas, efficient public transportation, cleanliness, and convenient walking and cycling infrastructure. Meanwhile, 96% reported feeling comfortable in Szczecin; the city is perceived as open, friendly, and inclusive.

Interestingly — 58% of visitors arrive by train, the most eco‑friendly transport option. Most often they travel as couples, with children, or friends — showing that Szczecin attracts both families and groups of friends.

As for the most frequently visited places, the top picks include: Wały Chrobrego, Zamek Książąt Pomorskich, Morskie Centrum Nauki, Jasne Błonia, Park Kasprowicza, the city’s underground routes, as well as boat cruises on the Oder. Those are among the city’s flagship attractions, ideal for strolls, relaxation or family outings.

These findings clearly suggest that Szczecin — with its greenery, infrastructure, accessible attractions and welcoming vibe — has real potential to become a top destination for weekend breaks or longer city escapes.
