From July 24 to 27, 2025, Szczecin hosts the 16th Jakubowy Fair around the Basilica of St. James. Over 250 stalls offering regional and European goods await visitors.

Highlights include:

Family attractions: Eco-Zone workshops, contests, and kids' entertainment.
Tasty treats: local beers, meads, cheeses, seasonal fruits, Jakubowe croissants, and traditional sweets.
Handcrafted art: ceramics, wood and wicker products, jewelry, textiles, traditional folk crafts.
Live concerts, traditional performances, and religious services including pilgrim masses and indulgence ceremonies reminiscent of medieval fairs.

Organized by the St. James Parish, the fair also features novenas, vespers, and the solemn indulgence mass on Sunday, July 27.

A recent survey among users of the Szczecin Tourist Card reveals that a majority of visitors truly value their stay in the city. As many as 80% of respondents rated highly the city’s sustainability — especially noting its extensive green areas, efficient public transportation, cleanliness, and convenient walking and cycling infrastructure. Meanwhile, 96% reported feeling comfortable in Szczecin; the city is perceived as open, friendly, and inclusive.
