The "Krzemień" Cultural Center
The "Krzemień" Cultural Center is the 13th cultural institution in Szczecin, located in a modern building constructed from scratch and opened in 2020, in the Podjuchy neighborhood, in the right-bank part of the city of Szczecin.
"Krzemień" represents CREATIVE and social CONNECTIONS
It's various lines coming from many places, meeting at a common point. It's the creative spark generated during contact with another person. It's a shared map of thoughts building an image of a world close to many, while simultaneously influencing the discovery and building of oneself.
"Krzemień" stands for CULTURAL EVENTS
It is a place ready for emotions – from all arts. It is a stage that, under the right conditions, is designed to generate the experience of uplift from artistic events – whether it be music, theater, cinema, dance, meetings, multimedia, interdisciplinarity – in a modern space, accessible to audiences without any exclusions. It is the only such multifunctional place on the right bank of Szczecin. Currently, it is the only stage and auditorium of this format in Szczecin.
"Krzemień" is about ARTISTIC and cultural EDUCATION
Every person is an individual, each with their own story to tell others. This is accompanied by excitement, emotions, the joy of creation, and sometimes also fears and concerns about oneself. Our goal is to support this process by creating the right conditions for the development of self-worth and the acquisition of artistic skills.
"Krzemień" signifies OPENNESS and local activity
It is no coincidence that neighborhood street runs along the northern wall of the newly constructed facility. Being open to others is especially important nowadays. We want to bring people closer, connect, motivate, provide a field for inspiration and action. We aim to be a place that, by providing tools and opportunities, fosters the creation of interpersonal relations – because social distance should never determine and limit mutual desires, behaviors, and the willingness to give oneself to another person.
