The Opera at the Castle in Szczecin as the only one in Poland is housed in a medieval castle - the former seat of Pomeranian dukes.

Renovations were completed in 2015 and gave the theatre a modern stage and auditorium, and added a bit of glamour to the interior. Safety, functionality and comfort for both viewers and artists were taken care of.

The theatre has been adapted to the needs of disabled people. The main hall, which can accommodate over 500 spectators, is equipped with the latest technological features, which makes it perfect for listening and watching performances. It is the only institution of this type in the region.

The Opera at the Castle offers a varied repertoire. In addition to operas, operettas and ballets, you may also see musicals, concerts, recitals, outdoor events, performances for children, youth and students. Open days, discussion meetings with representatives of the world of art and science, film introductions to performances, educational workshops for children and guided tours are organized. There is a children's and amateur choir at the Opera.

For guests from abroad, the performances have subtitles in Polish and German. Bilingual programs are also available. You can buy tickets for all events from the current repertoire online.
