Wojska Polskiego Avenue

Aleja Wojska Polskiego
Aleja Wojska Polskiego

The downtown section of Wojska Polskiego Avenue is the true heart of the city. The green thoroughfare encourages strolls and visits to numerous restaurants or coffee shops. It is home to the Pionier Cinema, the former "Kosmos" Cinema, the Bogusław Promenade, the "Pasztecik" Bar, Jagiellońska Street, the Concord Square or the Pizzeria with the thickest pastry in Szczecin.

The completed revitalisation has made the Avenue bustle with life again. In the past, it was one of the most important shopping streets in Szczecin.

Interestingly, Wojska Polskiego Avenue is the longest city street in Szczecin. It is almost 7 kilometres long and stretches from the very centre to the city border near Głębokie Lake.

The Avenue was and is an important place on the map of Szczecin. You will find preserved tracks there, and a pole informing that trams once ran along the Avenue.

Nearby, there is also: the "Zduńskie Opowieści" Museum - 26 Małkowskiego Street and the "Szczecin in PRL" Museum (Szczecin in the People's Republic of Poland) - 51/LU1A Śląska Street.
