Szczecin Hills
Wzgórza Szczecińskie
This is one of the most interesting natural places in the area, which stretches for several kilometres - from the Wkrzańska Plain in the north to the Lower Oder Valley in the south.
There are two hill complexes in the region: the Warszewo Hills and the Stobniański Ridge, also known as the Forestless Ridge.
Thanks to archaeological discoveries, we know that in the early Middle Ages the hills were inhabited by the Slavic tribes of Wielets, Pomeranians and Wkrzans.
Since the Szczecin Hills are on both sides of the national border, you can find many interesting places also on the German side, including viewpoints, for example Stettiner Berg and Seeberg in Mescherin.
