A fragment of medieval city walls
Fragment średniowiecznych murów w Dąbiu
A preserved fragment of medieval fortifications built successively, starting from 1277, by virtue of a privilege issued to the newly established city of Dąbie (German: Altdamm) by the Duke of Pomerania Barnim I. The original circumference of the walls was over 1300 meters and was equipped with three gates: Szczecinska, Goleniowska and Młyńska, 32 half towers and a water gate. The walls were finally demolished in 1872-1873, and only small fragments were left.
