Brodowski Pond

Staw Brodowski
Staw Brodowski

A park with the pond is located between Wilcza, Rugiańska, Komuny Paryskiej and Tomaszowska streets.

A shallow, 7-metre deep pond, known among local people as Paj, dates back to the 19th century.

It was created in the place of an excavation site, left by the Portland Zementfabrik Züllchow company, which used this place to extract raw material for cement production.

Originally it was intended to be filled back, but currently it is used by local residents. Around the pond there are many alleys and benches and in good weather the area becomes really crowded.

In the pond you can see little fish, ducks and coots, and from the ponds highest terrace you can admire one of the most beautiful city panoramas.
