The Memorial to the Victims of December 1970, commonly called the Angel of Freedom, is a monument commemorating the victims the events of December 1970 and is located on the Solidarity Square in Szczecin.

The cornerstone of the monument, erected on the initiative of city councillors and the “December 70 'January 71” Association, was laid on 17 December 2003. Its construction was financed from the city's resources, social funds and gifts from the Polish American community. The ceremonial unveiling took place on 28 August 2005, as part of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Gdańsk Agreements
