Dimensions: height 130 cm (with currently visible part of the base 190 cm); pool diameter approx. 900 cm

A sculptural accent with a compact, geometric composition, with an oval, egg-like shape. The surface of the granite sculpture is covered with numerous, shallow grooves with a vertical and horizontal arrangement. The sculpture is set on a small pedestal, on a square plan.

Made jointly in 1975 by Sławomir and Jakub Lewiński, according to the design of Jakub Lewiński. It was placed in the central point of a round pool, constituting an ornament to the local fountain. Probably in the late nineties, the interior of the pool was completely filled with earth, and flowers and shrubs were planted in this place. It is located on the premises of the Summer Theatre in the Jan Kasprowicz Park, at the southern entrance to the amphitheater.

Currently, the work of the Szczecin artists, obscured by lush vegetation, is largely invisible, and after the reconstruction of the amphitheater in 2022, it was situated in such a way that access to the sculpture is no longer possible due to the amphitheater fence.

Sławomir Lewiński and Jakub Lewiński

Sławomir Lewiński (born 1919 in Kiev – died 1999 in Szczecin) – sculptor, painter, creator of monuments, mosaics and small architecture. In 1946, Danuta and Sławomir Lewiński decided to settle in Szczecin. From the very beginning, taking over the studio at ul. św. Wojciecha 1, Sławomir took an active part in consolidating the local community, co-organized the local branch of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers, and from the second exhibition of works by its members in December 1946, he regularly presented his works to the general public. In 1960, Lewiński, in cooperation with Messer, decorated the facade of the Szczecin cinema "Kosmos" with a mosaic; at that time he also helped his mother, Jadwiga Lewińska, with making mosaics. Smaller works were created from 1958 in the remnants of the Gothic St. Mary's Church, which had been adapted as a studio, often with the participation of his son Jakub (born 1947), a sculptor and interior designer. The largest monuments were hewn in the artist's previous workshop, which occupied the unreconstructed, provisionally roofed part of the Palace under the Heads, whose elevations were later decorated with details made by his father (portraits of Szczecin's cultural figures), and whose interiors were designed by his descendant for the needs of the Gallery of Contemporary Art (a branch of the MNS). In the 1970s, the achievements of the Lewiński studio were enriched by further monuments, fountains and so-called welcome signs (including for Chojna, Gryfino, Międzyzdroje, Myślibórz, Stargard, Szczecin and Trzebiatów, and on the state border in Kołbaskowo), as well as small forms of bronze work, which dominated the last period of Sławomir Lewiński's work. The artist took part in numerous national and international exhibitions, including in: Arhus, Arezzo, Barcelona, Oslo, Ravenna, Rostock, Ystad.
