The first crocuses have appeared at Jasne Błonia and near Wały Chrobrego in Szczecin. While they are still only scattered flowers rather than the famous purple carpets, locals already recognize the sign – spring is beginning to take over the city.

Every year the crocuses at Jasne Błonia are among the earliest signals that the seasons are changing. When the weather turns warmer and sunnier, the small buds quickly transform into wide fields of colorful flowers. This moment attracts walkers, photographers, and visitors who want to see one of the most picturesque spring scenes in Szczecin.

If the current weather continues, the view may become much more spectacular in the coming days. The crocus carpets stretching between the plane trees at Jasne Błonia can cover large areas with thousands of flowers, creating one of the city’s most beautiful seasonal landscapes.

Visitors planning a spring trip to Szczecin should also consider purchasing the Szczecin Tourist Card. It allows free travel on public transport, making it easy to move between the city’s highlights – from Jasne Błonia and Wały Chrobrego to the riverside boulevards along the Oder. After sightseeing, card holders can also enjoy discounts in selected restaurants and tourist attractions. More information: https://visitszczecin.eu/pl/25-szczecinska-karta-turystyczna

One important rule remains: crocuses must not be stepped on. These delicate plants can be easily damaged, so the best way to enjoy them is by walking along the paths and admiring the flowers from a respectful distance.
