In the northwest part of Szczecin, in the district of Warszewo, a brand-new green space has opened – Ekopark Złotowska. This modern recreational and educational area attracts both nature lovers and casual walkers. It’s part of the city’s “Parks for Szczecin Residents” initiative, which includes the creation and revitalization of 28 green areas across the city.

Covering approximately 1.5 hectares, the park features over 200 trees – including rowans, lindens, maples, as well as fruit trees like apple and pear. Thousands of shrubs, perennials, and climbing plants have also been planted, along with flower meadows and bee-friendly zones. The park is a haven for urban wildlife, equipped with birdhouses, insect hotels, bat shelters, deadwood zones, and sandy mounds.

Visitors can enjoy a workout area, scenic terraces, shelters, sun loungers, and walking paths. Educational elements include an informative nature trail and a water retention system that uses natural solutions like ditches and basins to manage rainfall sustainably.

Nearby, don’t miss the local landmark – the beloved “Warszewo Elephant” sculpture, located between Szczecińska and Poznańska streets. It’s a charming spot especially appreciated by children.
